Coach Bob Greene (Athletic Director/Baseball)
Coach Greene is
entering his Fourth year as head coach of the Crusaders and
sixth at the high school level. During his time at Trinity
the Crusader baseball program has had success on and off the
field. The Crusaders have produced back-to-back winning
seasons in 2006 and 2007, posting a record of 16-9 in
Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League play and 17-11
overall during that span. The 2006 team finished 6-4 in the
SMAL and 7-4 overall. The team’s achievements included a 5-2
upset of Division IV public school Dixon High in the season
opener on March 18, 2006. The 2007 team won its final eight
games of the season en route to a 9-5 record in the SMAL,
10-8 overall. Other highlights included a 7-6
come-from-behind victory over eventual playoff participant
Faith Christian and a 16-5 non-league victory over eventual
Division VII Sac-Joaquin Section champ Brookside Christian.
The 2008 Crusaders won five of their final six contests to
post an 8-9 overall record (6-7 in the SMAL). Over the past
three seasons Trinity is 9-1 during the month of May.
Coach Greene runs a program that is high on energy and
positivity. Fostering a family environment where players can
learn the game of baseball. With an emphasis on working
together at all times for the betterment of the individual
and the whole, Crusader baseball teams are built on the
foundation that every individual regardless of talent level
can impact the game and the team in a positive fashion.
Coach Greene came to Trinity in the spring of 2006, after
working as a varsity assistant at Vallejo High in the fall
of 2005.Greene was a junior varsity assistant coach at his
alma mater Armijo High of Fairfield in 2003 and Will C. Wood
High of Vacaville in 2004. Greene is a graduate of the
University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in
Business Management (2007). Greene received his Associate of
Arts degree in Communications from Solano Community College
in 2005.
The son of Steve and Emmy Greene, the Solano County local
has lived in Fairfield nearly his entire life. His brother
Patrick is a senior at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield.
Greene and his lovely wife Amanda were married on June 14,
2008.
